If you’re attending a wedding in the next months here are five style lessons we learnt from what little we could see of the nuptials of Jamie Hince and Kate Moss last july 2011.
1. Light-coloured suiting (a big trend at the recent spring/summer 2012 menswear shows in Milan and Paris) totally works with light-colored accessories like bow-tie, ties, pocket square.
2. A double-breasted suit and pocket square can be casual enough for a pub lunch the day after the big day – so long as they’re worn with a crew-neck T-shirt, modern beard and just the right degree of rumple. (See Jude Law.)
3. Do you have a too formal suit? Give it a modern twist with a studded bow tie, so punk chic.

Gordon Gekko is the seductive and powerful character interpreted by Michael Douglas in the famous movie Wall Street: he played Gekko to perfection and won an Oscar for his performance.
Gekko wore his hair slicked back, mixed patterns and colours with contrasting collars, horizontal striped shirts and a lot of stylish details: silk pocket squares and always braces.
The look became so fashionable and “The Gekko”, as it was called, was extensively copied and launched a new language of power-dressing for men in finance, who had previously just worn traditional suits…

While the fashion shows in Paris, London and Milan last weeks were showing the best of the upcoming collections for men, it seems even the men on the street were refined and showed their best about smart and original style.
The looks outside the shows and down the street in summer days were dandy with a mix & match of elegant details such as bow, ties, pocket square, but worn with denim blazer jacket, colored chinos pants, tatoos and big bags.
