Grinderman 2 is the title of the new album just released by Nick Cave and his band.
Grinderman 2 continues the animal theme, but this time, the cover star is a lone wolf, let loose in a marble bathroom and this suits perfectly the change in mood and the deep desperation of the first album having been supplanted by dirty malevolence.

R.E.M. have completed recording their 15th studio album, called ‘Collapse Into Now‘, with producer Jacknife Lee at Berlin, Germany’s Hansa Studios and the album will come out next spring.
We’re very happy about that! This new work includes important collaboration with artists such as Patty Smith, Eddi Vedder and Peaches and it will be at the opposite of Accelerate…we will see!

25 million albums sold. Over 20 hit singles. A career which has spanned an era defying 18 years: and now Jay Kay and his band are back to reclaim their crown as one of the UK’s premiere musical exports with their 7th studio album called ‘Rock Dust Light Star‘.
With this new work Jamiroquai have moved on from the sound they helped popularise and reverted to a more organic, live sound. The shift is one that has revitalised the band, and produced their most engaging, vital album in years.
In singer Jay Kay’s words, “Everything on the record is live. It’s a real band record. The last, album – fantastic – but the whole thing became a little sterile. This time we’ve captured the flow of our live performances.” The album has been recorded mainly at Jay’s home studio in Buckinghamshire, and also at legendary Hook End Manor in Oxfordshire. The album is entirely written by Kay and his Jamiroquai bandmates and produced by Kay alongside first time…

Blonde Redhead has returned with a new album that demostrate as the trio has continued to refine and rethink its sound in inventive ways.
The band — composed by singer Kazu Makino and twin brothers Simone and Amedeo Pace — has just released the eighth album, called Penny Sparkle, that is awash in bittersweet melodies and led by the haunting voice of Makino. But the key to the album’s success is its quiet restraint.
Penny Sparkle by Blonde Redhead was recorded in New York & Stockholm, with Van Rivers and the Subliminal Kid getting production credits…

David Garrett, a truly german-born violin phenomenon, seems to have been in the public eye his entire life and with inimitable dynamism, he viewed music as a landscape for expression, ranging from Perlman to Jimi Hendrix.
Rock Symphonies, the new Garrett album, is an inventive combination of classical music arranged for rock and rock music arranged for classical, plus hybrid blend of the two genres.
Garrett understands the synergy and captures these incarnations in concise structures.
So “Smells Like Teen Spirit” conveys the anthem like intensity of this Nirvana masterpiece, punctuated by the City of Prague Philharmonic.
In the version of Aerosmith’s funky “Walk This Way”, the rock and roll attitude is there with Garrett’s rollicking violin solos, as well as the piercing guitar work of Orianthi…

Interpol, probably the most elegant band in the entire music’s world, is come back with a great album in order to obscurate ‘Our love to admire’, a major-label flop.
Matador, this is the title of the latest album, contains power-drone epics like “Lights,” where Daniel Kessler’s guitar shows off to be the essence of arty post-punk romance, and Paul Banks’ lyrics are still the essence of brain-dead New Wave of today.
With this work, Interpol show to be not only a group of fashionable new yorkers, but a band with an unconventional point of view…
I appreciate very much Interpol’s look style and their music too!

Come Around The Sun is the title of the Kings of Leon’s new album released the 15th october 2010. Produced by the ‘couple’ Angelo Petraglia and Jacquire King, the album is anticipated by the hit single ‘Radioactive’ and it sounds as pure and simple rock and roll: evocative, direct, cunning, the band takes inspiration from R.E.M. to Tears for Fears, from Bill Idol to Cars and the album works great.
But the DNA of the band from Nashville, Tennesse, is unchanged: a southern rock with some influences coming from gospel and open to the english heavy blues of the 70s.
What I can say more? It’s only rock and roll but I like it!
